LIMITLESS WOMEN

Eugenie Ermis

Eugenie is a middle-aged woman who has definitely learned how to clean her mirror. She continually works to remove any smudges that appear. She has also learned to love herself warts and all, which can sometimes be a huge project.

Her thirty-eight years of experience as a registered nurse, mainly in the behavioral health arena, has taught her invaluable active listening skills and the ability to recognize patterns in ones’ story. Because of her uncanny ability to read between the lines, you may think she is a mind reader.

Eugenie is a certified Transformational Coach through the Health Coach Institute and The John Maxwell Team. It is through this training that she developed her primary modality of using story and mirror work in helping women heal and transform.

Eugenie is an avid nature lover. She lives in Manning, South Carolina, with her critter crew. On warm, clear nights, you can find her walking at night listening to nature’s symphony.

Overcoming Mediocrity - Volume VIII

FEARLESS WOMEN

Kimberly Darovec

Kimberly A. Darovec: Artist by birth. Entrepreneur, coach, therapist, party animal, and human expansion catalyst by design.

1997 – Bachelor’s Degree: Graphic Design, University of Central Florida

2009 – Master’s Degree: Clinical Counseling/Art Therapy, Adler School of Professional Psychology, Chicago

As you’ll read in her story, The Fool’s Crossing: A Rambling Journey, Kimberly lives for art and travel. She grants credit for this passion to her Czech grandparents, who brought her on a National Lampoon’s European Vacation at age sixteen. A knowing nod also tips toward the amazingly cool parents, who allow her the freedom to be and act. At sixteen, and eternally.

Born in Florida, this intrepid traveler put down roots in Orlando for nearly a decade. As a free-spirited crafter of macabre, overtly sensual drawings and vibrantly colored paintings, Kimberly has been spotted, naked, covered in paint, pressed against canvases, joyfully creating with her diverse community of fellow artists. Orlando in the 1990’s was filled with weird and wonderful magic. Bonfires lit the horizon, and artists of all ages, from 17 to 75, danced ‘round them celebrating life!

In the corporate world, Kimberly worked as designer/Photoshop Guru for Orange County Government, the Golf Channel, the Photography/Publicity Department of Universal Studios and moved on to be a trade show marketing Senior Designer, before moving out of state.

Kimberly spent eight months in the hills of Tuscumbia, Alabama, the birthplace of Helen Keller. (The small town’s claim to fame.) There she connected with family, until 2002, when at 27-years-old, a local band of Rockabilly Hairstylists inspired her move to Chicago.

She never left.

In Chicago, Kimberly has won “Best in Show” and “Curator’s Choice” accolades. She prides herself on her diversity of work and ability to adapt to any request or commission, yet maintains her unique, congruently incongruent style of art-making.
