FEARLESS WOMEN

Sofia Husnain

Sofia Husnain is a registered nurse, entrepreneur, speaker and holistic wellness coach. Sofia immigrated to the United States with her older sister and mother at the age of eleven. Always curious and passionate to learn more about the human body, Sofia chose nursing as her career. However, while in nursing school, she was diagnosed with a chronic, debilitating, degenerative and life-long disease, which changed the trajectory of her life forever. After trying and failing many different clinical trials and protocols, the options of continual treatment were quickly fading. The miracle came as her friend – also a nurse – one day introduced her to a system of natural and holistic products. Reluctantly giving holistic medicine a chance, she was amazed at how quickly her body healed from the inside out. Although her illness has no cure, Sofia saw the possibilities and the potential of what educating the community about holistic health can create. Her passion is now to serve and educate her community on their health and body and to empower and equip them with the right tools to get started. She became part of a company called Yoli, which has created thousands of testimonials of men and women getting their life and health back. Sofia focuses on educating others on how the body naturally behaves and how to simply just keep that foundation strong. Her mission is to spread her education and find other “wellness warriors” looking to join her cause. Sofia is married and the mother of an eighteen-month-old baby girl. She enjoys the flexibility, time and financial freedom of being an entrepreneur, as well as the ability to watch her daughter grow and be fully present in her life. Sofia’s own personal struggles have allowed her to connect with others on a much deeper level. In hindsight, her lifelong illness is actually her biggest blessing.

Carol Rambo

Carol Rambo

Carol Rambo (better known as Rambette—more later) has a passion for helping people regain their health through personal consultations and recommendations. She studied underneath a nutritionist and is certified as a nutritional counselor. Since referring people to products of excellence is key in her consultations, Carol has been working with two different multi-marketing companies for the last 38 years.

Passion usually springs from a personal need or crisis, and that’s where hers began, in her late thirties. Carol went through a horrific divorce in her late forties, but because she had built her business strong, financially, she was blessed and not busted.

God loves to give second chances, and hers included a Rambo (actual name) Harley motorcycle man. (Thus Rambette became her Harley signature). She discovered the fun of wearing leathers and seeing almost the entire United States and Canada by motorcycle! With their blended families, Tom and Carol have 7 children, 15 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Most of what Carol has learned has come through a school of hard knocks. Her passion continues to be nutrition, but also pointing people to a God who is filled with grace, faithfulness, and forgiveness; the One who heals body, soul, mind and spirit.

My Life Song

Carol’s story is one of redemption and second chances. It recounts a life marred with deception, betrayal, divorce, and health challenges, and how God used these trials as a stepping stone to help others. Carol’s experience eventually led to financial success in the field of multi-leveling marketing. There are also mountain peak experiences, involving falling in love at age 50, getting married and starting life all over again. This story takes you into the life of a grandma who almost loses her granddaughter to leukemia at age ten. And when she thought the bottom couldn’t fall out any further, her daughter and three grandchildren were trapped in fear for their lives living with an evil man. Through it all, God was present and protecting, and He is now using Carol’s story to encourage others that there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

Monique Horb

Monique Horb

Monique Horb has a passion for helping women who are busy, tired, and overwhelmed. She does this by organizing homes and paper piles so that women can be more productive, have time and energy to live their purpose, and live the life they want. She loves to say, Life Is Easier Organized!

She began her business, Organizing Your Chaos, after experiencing depression, bankruptcy, adoption, marriage and medical crisis. These things were out of her control, and her home was falling apart. Through twists and turns, she learned that with an organized home she was able to manage.

Monique was raised in southwest Michigan and graduated from Taylor University, a Christian college in Indiana, with a BA in Sociology & Psychology. She met her husband through a friend while working at Spring Hill Camps in Michigan. They have been married for twenty-five years and have six children, two dogs and a cat. Her life experiences have pushed her out of her comfort zone and shaped the business that she created.

She loves to help women who struggle to get their homes organized.  She knows that the simple (yet difficult) act of getting your home organized gives hope. Hope propels us forward, gives confidence, and allows changes to happen. This can change your life.

When asked, “How do you do it?” she responds, “I get up and get dressed.”

She believes that being willing to take off the mask, ask for help and work hard, alongside a faith in God, has changed her life. She continues to help women change their lives, and shares that we are all better when we are in community together.

Get Up and Get Dressed

Overcoming depression, bitterness, and disappointment by learning how to take care of herself was the beginning of change in Monique’s life. When things around her were falling apart, she felt alone and like a failure. However, Monique learned that by reaching out to others, and by taking off the mask that she wore, she was able to let go of the things that were not hers to own or to fix. When Monique learned to act instead of reacting, everything changed, and she became free from overwhelm.

Striving for Unconditional Love in a Conditional World

Positive living strategies and faith in Christ help us strive towards giving and receiving love. This chapter speaks about our desire to love perfectly even though we are sinful humans. Lisa uses scripture to share God’s love for us and his instruction on sharing that love with others around us. She shares what our love looks like, and how it is sometimes contingent on how others behaviors and how they show love to us first. We all make mistakes, and what we feel and show to others is constantly changing in different situations. God’s love for us is unconditional. This means that it is given every minute of every day in every circumstance, despite our shortcomings. Jesus’s love is perfect and unconditional. We can follow his example.
