Side Dishes

Nancy recounts her trials of the move from a home she loved, then a frightening diagnosis, leading to a new focus on healing every aspect of her life to strengthen her spirit, and ultimately her business.

Nancy believes that by accepting personal responsibility in life and showing your scars, you can heal yourself and your business. Her story of resiliency is about letting go of the past, so it doesn’t take control of your present, and rob you of your future. She hopes to encourage others to restore balance by identifying the parts of their lives that need healing.

RESILIENT WOMEN - These stories are meant to inspire and encourage women to realize their true potential.

Kathy Rosner

Kathy’s life and career choices have taken the course of three cycles of change, each over a 16 year cycle. She graduated with a teaching degree from NIU, but was unable to find a teaching position. She, therefore, decided to get adventurous and become a flight attendant for the next 32 years (including 16 with Eastern Airlines and 16 with American Airlines). After 9/11, the world changed and so did Kathy. She decided to retire from the airline industry and work from home. She can now be home for her sons and family when they need her. “Going Green” was becoming popular after 9/11, so she decided it was time for a career change. Kathy became a marketing executive for Melaleuca.com.  She was very fortunate to be able to work from her home. She loves educating families on how to keep their homes healthy and safe—wellness on a budget. She started www.CEOmoms.biz and now teaches other Moms how they can work their own business from home and be there when their kids need them most! The 3 – 16 year career cycles have now come full circle, back to where she started with a teaching degree. Kathy will continue this career of helping others with Melaleuca.com for many years past 16!

Kathy has been the DPWN Barrington Chapter Director since it began in 2010. Many women have started and grown their own businesses through DPWN Barrington membership.
