Dr. Kris Sargent

Dr. Kris Sargent is a cutting edge expert in Functional Medicine. She creates personalized solutions for fatigue, weight loss, hormone issues, sleep, achiness and digestive problems. She has numerous credentials that are listed below. She is most appreciative for are the poignant and sometimes painful life lessons her parents, children, ex-husband and coaches have pushed her to learn. They believed in her at times when she didn’t believe in herself, until she finally realized that God only makes fabulous! Now she wants to share what she has learned from clinical practice, and life’s ups and downs.

Dr. Sargent’s interest in Functional Nutrition started with her desire to solve some of her own health issues.  Her personal experience created a keen understanding of the need for using a patient’s health history and current symptoms to format unique solutions. As a single mother, business owner and busy entrepreneur, she understands the importance of self-care for the strength and resilience necessary to positively move through the challenges of life. As a result, she is launching a series of books that will make the process of applying functional medicine to real life easy and fun. She put the “fun” in FUNctional Medicine. Eat, Drink, Move, Sleep and Think your way to health!

She graduated with degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of Central Florida in 1988. Along with a BS in Human Anatomy, she completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree at The University of Health Sciences in 1992. Over the years, Dr. Sargent has accumulated hundreds of hours of continuing education in Functional Nutrition, Leadership and Personal Development, Certification in First Line Therapy, a post-doctoral Master’s Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice, and 22 years in practice. Dr. Sargent considers herself to be a clinical science geek and sleuth.

My medical physician was great for making the flares go away, but it was my desire to use self-healing and natural medicine that opened my eyes to overcome MEDIOCRE health.
