Overcoming Mediocrity
EMPOWERED WOMEN
Sharon LaPointe
When Sharon LaPointe was a child, she created a story about who she was to others and believed this to be her truth. With a relentless spirit to prove others wrong, she quickly learned that to have the life she wanted, she would have to create it.
To put that into perspective, she developed a strong work ethic, when she began working at the age of 14. She put herself through college earning a bachelor’s degree in legal studies. Her adolescent experiences and interaction with law enforcement and the court system drove her passion to become an advocate for those who had no voice of their own.
She began to achieve her goals through entrepreneurial outlets. After graduating from college, she worked as a paralegal for several years. She then became a Certified Supreme Court Volunteer Mediator, a crucial step that led her to become a professional guardian serving the elderly community and ultimately a VA Federal Fiduciary, serving 100% disabled veterans. This path forged the opportunity for her to own her own paralegal business serving pro-se litigants.
Sharon expanded her talents into becoming a pool hall/bar owner and a realtor, while owning her paralegal business. Within one year of receiving her real estate license, she became a broker. She now owns and operates a small boutique real estate office and a home stage and redesigns business, in which she thrives in.
Sharon’s commitment to public service has morphed into the creation of a non-profit project called “From Drab to Fab.” Her team project provides an opportunity to have a free consultation with two rooms staged for qualified families or individuals looking to transform their living space.
Sharon enjoys coaching others on how to practice the art of self-generating a creative life, by building confidence, courage, and full self-expression through creativity.
