She is active at the local and regional level of the Illinois Education Association for the support staff in her school district.

Lisa has always had a passion for editing and writing. She edited Misfortune, a short story that was included in a book of poetry and essays titled Eclectic beyond the Skin. The second writing is a fiction novel with many Chicagoland references, called Relic of the Cross. Lisa has been invited to write a story of her faith journey to be included in a chapter for themed books. Faith is the Backbone to our Faith

Positive living strategies and faith in Christ help us grow, change, and handle life’s challenges. We all experience difficult periods in our lives. We have the choice to wallow in the difficulties or look for ways to feel lifted up and proceed ahead. My story is about the loss of my parents and how my brother and I learned to continue forward with school, work, property, a home, and each other. Both of us had to grow up quickly and become responsible and independent.
