Courtney Powell
As a Lifestyle Strategist, Courtney uses a purpose-driven approach to help busy women-preneurs simplify their lives so they can lead authentically and serve joyfully in their calling.
Courtney’s life coaching practice is anchored in the idea that everyone was created with a specific and unique purpose to accomplish. She was inspired to become a life coach after overcoming hardship, overwhelm and personal brokenness in her own life. God has taken her on a faith adventure that has caused her to experience breakthroughs that she never thought possible. He also taught her important life lessons that she feels compelled to share with others. Courtney engages others in a passionate way that causes them to consider the hand of God on their lives and to move forward in order to fulfill their deepest desires for a meaningful life.
Courtney’s professional background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management and 15 years of corporate experience in Human Resources. The corporate trenches is where she developed her coaching skills to assist employees at all levels in navigating various workplace issues. This combination of training and experience (personal and professional) equips Courtney with the skills, understanding and “tough love” approach to guide the overwhelmed, overworked and overcommitted to a place of peace where they intentionally design, not only a fulfilling life, but a lasting legacy.
Courtney currently serves as the DPWN West Chicago Chapter Director. She holds membership in the National Association of Professional Women. She also leads a mastermind group for Christian women business owners.

Life after Debt
My story tells how my upbringing and cultural norms led me to believe that a life lived heavily dependent on credit and borrowing was how things were supposed to be. It wasn’t until my lack of self-control resulted in the loss of my home and threatened my family’s well-being that I realized the destructive path I was on. The recovery and rebuilding process led me to uncover what I truly believe is my life’s purpose.
